RMS has provided professional advice, liaised with an array of coastal process, landscaping and urban design specialists, and prepared and obtained resource consents for a large number of beach replenishment schemes over many years. The resulting beach enhancement outcomes (sand replenishment / landscaping / boardwalk / stormwater management / artificial surf reefs) are widely regarded as some of the best public open space redevelopment outcomes in New Zealand. An integrated approach within a design team forum has been part of the reason for success in this area along with a passionate pursuit of good coastal outcomes.
